Sorry, I know we have a bit of a screwy system.

If you view the forum version of this post here:

    http://icrontic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89703

You will see a "get more options" button at the bottom of the post window. Click that, scroll down, and you will see image attachments.

Alternatively, you can use an image hosting service such as DropBox, or a website such as http://imgur.com.

Then, you can surround the image URL with tags like this:

    URL here

    And it will work.

Its so damn easy to write a program that will do this for you!
It just loads a big picture
Loads small pictures and reduces them to 32x32
calculate its average color of every 16x16 block on the smaller pics.
Look at every 32x32 block on the big picture and calculate the average color of every 16x16 block.
Compare 32x32 block of the big picture to every smaller one.
    Find a closest match.
    Put it in place.
For a 5760x1080 picture there are 18,680,625 operations per avatar. for 1000 avatars the program would execute in 1,5567875 seconds on a X4 3.0 GHz processor.

    All numbers are approximations.
I still wouldnt put something so pixelated as my background, ya gettin it Krab? Try makin' it smoother, im sure it would look EPIC!

Smooth? Alrighty then, smooth it is! (More avatars, 132 of em'. If I missed you at this point, I'm sorry)

Jesse, your entry is awesome, but unless you have permission or took those photos of the city and the moon, I'm afraid it doesn't qualify.

Brushes can be licensed as well for personal use only.

    Example:
    http://www.brusheezy.com/brushes/7758-Colored-Pencil-Brush-Set

Note the Creative Commons License box under the preview. When clicked it reads: "This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. You may redistribute, remix, tweak, and build upon this work even for commercial reasons, as long as you credit this artist by linking back and license your new creations under the same terms."

So you have to be careful about that stuff.

Good point; I assumed they were brushes that were supplied with the program. Can you show the license for the brushes you used?

    Hi,

I'm kinda new here, but have been reading the site for a while :)

Here's my entry, it was created from a bunch of different photos taken back in 2003 at Venice Beach.

@optix Fantastic, but do you have permission to use nvidias logo? Because I see that this is strictly observed by rules.

It's not our job to be your legal advisers.

    http://www.renderosity.com/news.php?viewStory=13161

That's what I could find on the licensing. It seems like you are allowed to create derivative works from those source files.
