Subscribing to front page articles

What is the easiest route to take to subscribe to a front page (or tech or life) article? There doesn't seem to be a subscribe link on the article pages nor a link to the forum post to subscribe.

If someone else has commented, you can click on the time of their comment, then click on the post name and you are then at the forum post and can scroll up to subscribe. It would be rather convenient if the time of the original post did similar if adding a subscribe link to the pages is not an option.

I'd imagine the option isn't readily available because that option is rarely utilized and the vast majority of our readership does not use the forum. By vast majority, I mean 10:1 or higher.

    I would of guessed 100:1

Your number is probably even more accurate than mine. I was just throwing out a safe order of magnitude.

The easiest way is to use google reader:
    1) Click the Add a subscription button
    2) Enter the url of the page you want to subscribe to: i.e. Tech would be: http://tech.icrontic.com/
    3) Click the Add button

Bam you are subscribed to the Tech articles. Wash and repeat for life if you want.

If we all did what the vast majority did, we would be a shit site. We don't so we aren't. Obviously this request would not apply to the non forum users, it's a forum specific feature. It's just a request, I realize the request can be rejected and I accept that.

A Subscribe in the Post/Tweet/Share/Print section that only showed for the logged in and does the same as the Options -> Subscribe link in forum threads would be ideal and relatively easy to implement.

Thank you Prime and Thank you Linc in advance for considering it.

Thanks Zanthian but I was talking about Subscribing on the IC Forum (to be notified of replies without posting in the thread).
