SFC.exe /scannow reports changed files, but I have no windows CD, alternatives?

My computer is acting a bit weird, so I did a sfc scan on it, I have no windows CD, so I can't make it replace the files (and it won't let me browse for the system32 folder)

are there any alternatives to correct these files?

(I was thinking through Combofix maybe?)

no you need an xp disk to get the original file replacements from. If system files are messed up they can't be fixed. They have to be replaced.

Alternatively (but this is not desirable) you could note which files need to be replaced and copy them from a same OS same service pack machine (XP SP2, Vista SP1, etc). That may fix your issue or not, but if you don't have an original windows disc, it is one option.
