So your memory, video card, processor, drives, etc are all the same, but your mainboard was replaced with a different model then what was originally in there? If so, I'm impressed you can even boot - I've had terrible luck migrating systems to new motherboards lately.

Generally, any time I am trying to keep a system as-is but swap the mainboard, I go through and de-install all the mainboard drivers I can find, including sound, ide/sata, network, memory bus, usb, and usually even video card drivers (only after grabbing the new drivers for the new mainboard of course).

Once the swap is done, I then install all the new drivers for the new motherboard and then usually updated drivers for whatever other devices I have in there.

You could -try- just uninstalling and reinstalling your vid drivers, double-checking bios settings, and/or installing your new mainboard drivers, but no guarantee there won't be lingering issues.

On a side note, I've seen it once where for whatever stupid reason, a motherboard with on-board video AND an add-on vid card would display the normal desktop through the add-on card, but when it went to 3D, the screen would go blank because it was trying to display anything 3D on the on-board video output.

Good luck and if you keep having issues, post up some detailed info like your system specs, OS, etc.

Best I can think of right now, is to grab the latest vid drivers for your card, uninstall your vid driver and any management software it might come with (like, if it's an ati card, you would want to clear the driver and the catalyst control center), then do a fresh install of the latest drivers and see if that helps. Other thoughts are making sure your directx is up-to-date.

Also, again, for future reference, posting system specs and details about the equipment involved helps anyone trying to help you, have a better concept of what's going on.

    Good luck!
