LotRO going free

Anyone going to be picking this up? I played the beta and paid for a month or so after release, and I really enjoyed myself.

If you are interested, I have a dwarf guardian on Brandywine server that is (currently) level 41 and I plan on starting a kinship when this goes free sometime later this year. I also have a friend joining with a 50-something elf minstrel, and we plan on getting the guild together like once a week for some event (raid, skirmish, pvp, whatever we want). The day a week we choose will not conflict with the Icrontic WoW guild schedule.

Anyone will be welcome, this is just for funsies!

I was in the alpha and it was so rough i didnt think they could pull it together to make a decent game, but a lot of people say its very enjoyable. I may give it a go.

I will be giving it a try. I am just about as rabid of a Tolkien fan as there can be.

Aye, I quite enjoyed the game, so I'll probably keep playing my Hobbit Guardian.

The weekly 'event' of sorts will happen Fridays from 9pm EST to midnight. Of course, you can always join as a social member and not attend weekly events. :)

A good friend and I were on LotRO since before it was originally released, and while we both moved on to other games, I was quite impressed with the direction they took it and the improvements, changes and updates they've added as the game matured.

If you are at all a fan of LotR stuff, I'd highly suggest at least starting a hobbit in the shire. It is unspeakably pretty and the quest lines are SO hobbit-y - I think they really pegged what the people and land are all about. I was also very impressed by the music system, which is really not part of any progress in the game, but is a wonderful diversion that's a hoot to play with.

Once they go free, I'll have to pull up my old chars and see where they are and post here.

I'm in love with this game! Started a Dwarf Guardian on Dwarrowdelf with my brother and my friend. This game is really good. Who else is playing?

I was thinking about starting my own Kinship with my brother and friend and if anyone else on here is playing on Dwarrowdelf let me know!
