Any way to rip DVD movies into my hard drive?

edited July 2010 in Internet & Media
I don't want to "pirate" any movies, but would like to rip DVD's that I bought into my computer so I can put them on my iPod.
Are there ways to rip copy protected DVD's with many chapters/episodes etc?
Which software allows me to do it? Is it legal?

Yes there are, but regardless of the reason for ripping the discs, people on the boards won't discuss it.

There are many resources available, and googling will probably get your results.

As of 2000 in the United States and 2010 in Britain, it is not legal to break the copy protection of digital media for any reason. Doing so is a felony. We are, as a result, unable to provide any assistance regarding this topic. I hope you understand.
