XP Loads For A Minute Then Restarts.
Hey guys.
Hoping I could find a solution through talking it out.
Hooking all the computers in the house up to our new router. When I went to power on my mums ( She won't let us change it or do anything to it ) It loaded up the log in screen, I hit enter and it stayed on the windows page for about a minute and then the computer just restarted itself.
If I leave it be it will sit on the log in screen for about 2 minutes and then restart.
I've tried accessing safe mode, which I can get into fine but system restore has been disabled, which needs to be re enabled in normal mode.
Any other solutions would be appreciated.
Edit:
I read around on the forum and ran something called Hitachi DFT, I got the code 0x00 back telling me there was no problem with the hard drive. So I'm assuming it's some sort of virus or worm and I'm just hoping someone will know how I can get clear of it.

Thought I'd keep this updated. I did a clean install of windows and spent ages hunting for the wireless card driver. Eventually found an old CD in my room. It's an Asus 802.11b/g netword card. Got it installed, clicked 'View available wireless networks' and found my home network. Clicked connect and midway through connection the computer rebooted itself.
It's running fine so long as I don't try to connect to the network. Has anyone ever heard of such a problem?
Anytime you attempt to touch the windows wireless control, it just stops and reboots.
