Trying to format OCZ Vertex SSD from Expo

Hello everyone.

The OCZ Vertex SSD that I won at Expo is installed an in my PC, but I'm having issues getting Windows 7 to see it so I can format the drive.

I can see the SSD in device manager under disk drives. The volume is being properly read at 60GB, and its status is listed as Not Initialized.

I cannot actually see the drive in Windows though, so I'm not sure how to format it. I haven't formatted a drive in Windows 7 yet, so I could just be missing something.

Any ideas?

MTFU, install it as the boot drive and format it from the Windows installer.

(Go to diskmgmt.msc, right click, initialize disk)

That was going to be my next step, but for once I actually RTFM'd and it actually recommended doing it through Windows.

    'preciate it.

Did you ever think to initialize the drive then try and format it?
