    What gets me is that they are serious! Really? How many people are going to actually buy/play a boating simulator.... Sorry for a game that sounds really boring!

    You clearly don't know the market for Flight sims then. There are a ton of people who either used to do some activity IRL and are now retired who like to relive those days and others who live vicariously through these games.

    Sims fascinate me because they open a window to a world I could never participate in.

    I'm really excited about this. Got the first game back in 2005, I think, and seeing as this upcoming game is the third in the line (plus expansions) there's gotta be at least SOME interest. As a sailor myself, working on the largest vessel in the Norwegian Navy's possession, I may just like it because I'm familiar with the setting, and I can understand a lot of people not sharing the interest. I just hope the game lives up to it's EXTREME name, with some really bad weather and situations, because this was lacking in the previous games.
    I've also played the crab fishing game, and I enjoyed it.

    I'm actually intrigued by the ship sim because I've always wondered what it would be like to pilot one of those fancy yachts or a giant billion-dollar cruse ship.
