Booting from cd! HELP

Hi um a few weeks ago one of my best friends taught me how to build a computer He gave me some of his old parts... (Its a decent computer) Well anyways after installing all the hardware. We tryed to install windows... He had a illegal verison that does NOT need a key well It starts up and it says ''boot from cd.....'' Then it heads straight to ''blah blah computer can not boot because windows is not install'' Ive already changed bios to make it read the cdrom before hardrive or remote disc ect... I need help!

BTW! We tried two cd player things to try to read windows and it DOES NOT WORK... I dont think its the hardware... Any tricks you can give would be really NICE!

    I am sorry Calvster, but if you are using an illegal copy of Windows, this forum can't help you.
