My BlackBerry Bold 9000, not even 2 years old, has begun dying a grizzly death:
-Pressing the "end call" key actually presses "M" and "N" on the keyboard.
-By virtue of the end call button no longer functioning, I have to pull the battery to end a call.
-Pressing the "A" key usually types letters "U" and "O."
-The trackball doesn't click 50% of the time.
-When the trackball does click, it types the letters "L" and "K."
-The trackball no longer scrolls down.
-I cannot turn the WiFi off, because I cannot scroll down.
One usually calls their carrier with a problem like this, but I am about to make them eat their ETF by exercising one of the few available loopholes: leaving the country for work! They'll be pissed if I get a new phone and then bail for more northern climes.
That said, Canada is a good 4-6 months behind the United States when it comes to hot new smartphones, so I had planned to take this BlackBerry with me to Canada and wait around with it until a dual core HTC Android handset hits Canoedia.
That's where you come in:
I need a replacement phone with a radio that offers 850 and 1900MHz UMTS. I'm open to discussions on price, but I won't accept iPhone or Windows Mobile offers. That leaves Android, BlackBerry or webOS.
Hit me up, ladies and gentlemen. I can pay via PayPal, and everyone here knows I'm good for it.
