I am working with an older Enermax case that has front ports for mic and headphones and am having difficulty determining what leads connect to what pins on my Gigabyte motherboard. The case leads consist of the following:

2 leads labeled: ear R
2 leads labeled: ear L
1 gnd (obvious)
1 lead labeled: mic data
1 lead labeled: mic vcc

My motherboard supports High Definition as well as AC'97 audio. Attached is the motherboard manual page for F_audio pin-outs. Could someone help me determine what lead goes to what pin? Thx.

Never mind. I finally got it straightened out. However, just in case it might help someone else, here is the configuration that worked (for my setup):

I only used one each of the two ear R and ear L leads. For AC'97 setup:
-ear R connected to pin #5 Line Out R
-ear L connected to pin #9 Line Out L
    -gnd went to gnd
-mic data connected to Mic pin #1
-mic vcc connected to Mic Power pin #3

I then had to disable "front panel detection" in the sound software to enable the AC'97 standard.
