So with Human Evolution, you have to choose a type of play before you start, and that sets the tone? You won't be able to mix up the style as you play?
The only playable build doesn't reveal enough to answer this question.
Adam Jenson will (somehow) be the father of Paul and J.C. Denton. Calling it now.
Only problem, Paul and J.C. were clones according to the original Deus Ex (at least according to the Deus Ex Wiki) Also, game takes place in 2027, Paul Denton was 'born' in 2018.
I'm excited for this game. 7 days til release. Should probably preorder when I get paid this week so I can get the discount.

No at the start of each mission you are asked how you want to approach it and all that does is give you your weapon layout for the mission. So if you pick the frontal approach you'll get a submachine gun and a shotgun, if you say I prefer stealth you'll get a taser and a silenced pistol if you choose I prefer to kill from a far you'll get a sniper rifle and a pistol.
But once you are in the mission there are no bumpers that will prevent you from changing up your styles if you say go in stealth and get bored and want to start shooting the place up you can.
There may be some missions that have specific goals that could change based on how you approach it but as a rule you don't choose stealth (for example) and then are locked into having to stealth that mission.
The same wiki claims Jensen was born in 1993 making him 25 in 2018. He could easily be the father or clone daddy or something.
True, I didn't notice that at first. Still, if you look at the trailers, it doesn't look like he's a father. Seems to live quite the bachelor life. Clone daddy... maybe, but I doubt it.
EDIT: There's been a bunch of videos added to Steam for this, including some behind the scenes stuff with the developers. It looks like they're going back to the classic Deus Ex control scheme for PC. I'm excited, no more crappy watered down, consolized controls!
5 days til we find out if they've finally given Deus Ex a worthy sequel. Just preordered. Sadly, can't preload the game through Steam yet. Still, I AM EXCITE.
Not guna lie, I have a little bit of a boner for this game now. The pre-load started on Steam last night. Currently eating up company bandwidth to pre-load.
Only a few hours until the game is officially released. I'm itching to click that "unlock game" button in Steam so badly... also, reviews have started to come in. The early ones look damn good too.
This game rocks on toast. It's challenging and makes you consider your options. I have it for xbox, as I prefer that to playing on the PC. Graphically it looks really good, controls are excellent and frame rate is smooth.
I think what I love most about this game is the sense of freedom on how you tackle a mission. It's not open in the Oblivion sense of the word. But the maps are there, they aren't linear, you have options - you can skip entire sections. Enemies aren't dumb. Bullets will kill you - pretty quickly.

Actually if you do a Stealth Combat route you'll find that enemies can be incredibly stupid at times. I'll never understand how I can take down a guy two feet behind another guy and not have him turn around. Even silent take downs aren't all that silent. Especially the arm breaking one.

Why contain it?
It's cool.

The best part is there's an email on her computer that says the mirror's been at their warehouse for a month waiting for pickup. What a wench.
....what.
Snark, I laughed my head off at that video. Good Lord, that is hilarious!
Something about videos of people dicking around in Deus Ex games, man. They get me every time.
Here's a good one I saw earlier today:
