Hrmm, can't back up Certain DVD's

I've been backing up my all-time-fav dvd collection to my hard drive. I've completed 28 backups so far during the past two weeks: 2x dvd->2pass XviD->matroska each day. My 29th + 30th attempts have yielded jackall.
I haven't been into the whole "dvd-backup frenzy" for a while, so it's probably just a lack of experience on my part. Dvd decrypter has served me well in the past, though, so I'm kinda ticked off that these 2 particular titles won't work with it.
Is there some sort of new copy protection format that's messing this all up? I have another 16 newer titles that I would like to store on the beautiful Raptors that I setup.
