    hehe - I dunno man, I think we might have the same volume, but different dimensions.

    Mine is a hollowed-out mountain and I started from the top, I think I overestimated the benefit of doing that vs. starting deeper - seems like you get more minerals the closer to the earth's core you go, all I got was a lot of rock

    where X is rock and O is planks. I'll make a test wood tower later and try to make a fireplace, I'm curious about this as well.

    Well, I had it completely encased in stone so I'm not sure what happened. I suppose it doesn't matter, since I'm not trying it again.

    that sucks. The new one was a lot better than the first one though. If people are on and can help, I'm sure the 3rd one will be good as well.

    Stone is "flammable" (it will carry fire across it), surround it with dirt then light it, once its been lit for 30 seconds or so, then dig the dirt and place your stone.

    wtf, is it like restone, anything flammable within 8 stones or whatever will also catch fire?

    Or I'm guessing you have to use stone and not cobblestone?
