Rest in Peace, Pi's Thai

I hate being the one to bear these kinds of tidings, but it seems to be my lot in life.
Yet another Icrontic favorite: Pi's Thai, is swirling rapidly down the toilet.
In June, their other location (which none of you have been to) got robbed. I think at that point the owners (who are elderly) decided to close that location.
Now, as to what happened to the Hazel Park location (the one you guys all know and love), I'm not sure yet: according to many reports from trusted sources, the management and staff have changed, and the food now sucks. Perhaps most tragic: Their legendary soup is different. The portions are smaller and the menu has changed. James, the (probably gay) super happy chef, is no longer there. He was the one that truly made the place.
Now, on to the good news:
I hear tell that James is opening his own restaurant, also close to ICHQ. I fully intend to scope it out and give you guys the update. All may not be lost.
