There is a new article that continues the findings against OCZ and CompUSA "Silver" thermal paste.

    Product packaging can be the art of being very deceptive. Product packaging can lead the consumer to assume. In North America there is product labeling standards that "must" be adhered to but with products of lessor health impact...these often aren't.

    Highly scrutinized products would be consumables (food or drugs).

    Imported products may pass import laws for harmful/dangerous material content but rarely what is on the label is examined.

    A dubious manufacturer/distributor will make statements on the package such as "99% pure silver is a good thermal conductor for better CPU cooling". This may be a true statement but it does not say that the product is 99% pure silver. The consumer may assume this wrongly.

    In the overclocker's.com article the claims are absolutely false. A good buyer beware example if I ever saw one.
