i left my computer open and when i came back from work after a few houer my monitor was not working.i bought a new cable(a while ago i had the same problem and a new cable helpt me).when the cable is connected my monitor shows a orange liight and when is not connected shows a green light.we checked ram and hdd but they are ok.any other ideea?

Test the monitor on another computer using the same connection that you use on your current computer. If it works, connect back to original computer, shutdown (hold power button), turn back on ... if you don't see anything, your video card is not outputting anything. If you are using onboard (the video plug near all the other plugs), then you have to buy a video card (there are lots of cheap ones that are comparable to what you had or easily better). If you already have a separate video card, you need to get a new video card.
