How to make sure a port stays open

Hi all!

I'm using avast! internet security and the firewall it provides. However, when I play Test Drive Unlimited 2, it recommends that I open some ports. I go in to the firewall, open the ports for both the launcher and the game itself. TDU2 reports that it's working. But, after a short while avast! decides to remove the ports I've opened, leaving it back to default. My question is, how do I make those ports stay open permanently, so I wont have to open them in avast! every time I launch the game?
The ports needing to be opened are: for the game: 8889 and for the launcher: 3478.

I hope I've explained my problem clearly enough.

Jokke.

    Jokke,

Are they are asking for outbound or inbound ports to be opened?

If they are asking for outbound (i.e. going to the internet) rules to be set and you aren't running an outbound firewall configuration/ruleset/policy, I would expect Avast is shutting them down as you aren't using them.

Both in- and outbound ports. I've been doing some monitoring, and avast! reports the port as open, until I run TDU2, then it goes back to default, which is something like "accept all connections" or something. But, when it says "accept all connections", why doesn't it also allow the 8889 and the 3478 connection?
