LOTR BFME 1 wont go past splash screen

When I run LOTR BFME 1 it stays on the splash screen for a while and then comes up with:

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual
address for which it does not have the appropriate access
Access address from 0x000778fb was read from.

Location:
77727205 ntdll.dll+0x37205, LdrUnlockLoaderLock+0x5b9

Anyone know how to fix this?

    Yes it is, I dislike torrenting due to the loss of online features, and how unstable they can be

    Even if it's legit, do you use a NoCD crack? If you do, try using the original .exe with CD.
    If not, try completely uninstalling the game, delete any and all directories related to BFME, and reinstall.

    No, if I have the CD why would I use a no CD crack, it wouldnt make sense, especially when I have 3 CD drives

    Just checking. Try the reinstall procedure then. Also, you may want to upgrade your graphics drivers.
