PNY FX5800 ultra vs Albatron fx5900 256mb

edited January 2004 in Hardware
I have a PNY5800 ultra and overclocked it to a stable 522mhz - 1.07 ghz
3dmark03 score -5,804 default settings
3dmark 2001SE - 15,285 default settings
Asus A7vn8x Mainboard
AMD Athlon XP2500+
1.0 GB PC 2700
80 GB 7,200 SATA Hard Drive
Driver 53.03

I compared my card(fx5800ultra) over 1 year now, with the fx5900 256mb - 256bit memory and I beat the 5900 in all tests (except for the 3dmark2001se-5900 won by 50 points) in resolution 1024*768. My point is that it seems that the only thing helping the 5900 is the 256mb of 256 bit memory. I thought the 5900 would blow the 5800 ultra but it does not. I believe technically speaking that the 5800 would beat the 5900 even worse if it had 256mb of memory, considering the match up is in favor of the 5900 but the 5800 because of the ddr2 memory and higher clock speeds is able to keep up with the newer 5900 inspite of the 256bit memory bandwith. Did Nvidia make any improvements in the 5900 series - I don't see it except in 4x aa - 8x anis - and yet still the 5800 is like either 5-12 frames difference for the most.

I believe that the new 5950ultra is the 5800ultra with a 256bit memory bandwith, because image quality I can't tell the difference, can you. Any one else out there notice this too, if so let me hear your opinion on why the 5800ultra is beating the 5900 when overclocked.

Anyone else out there with a 5800 what is your highest benchmark scores??
Games games and more games, I'm still smooth sailing with my 5800ultra
p.s. I like the noise-holla back peace and happy gaming.. :Rocker:
