    You can for sure remove them. It sort of looks like you were mucking around with AVG and some elements got improperly removed. I'd suggest either re-installing AVG at this point if you like it or uninstalling it and using something else like Microsoft Security Essentials for example.

    You should also get a program called ccleaner and run it to clean up any registry entries for missing files, which I'm betting you'll have a lot of.

    But beyond more specific information on what the actual problem is it's hard to diagnose.

    @Kryyst

    Thanks.
    I did have problem with AVG and had to uninstall it at one point and then reinstalled it, AVG is working fine now.
    Then Problem I had was with the Video driver for the ATI radeon HD graphics card I have. Microsoft update came up with an update for it, I installed the update and all seemed well until my PC started crashing, leaving no error message in windows log files. PC would reboot and I couldn't find where the problem was.
    Cut a long story short, I located the problem to the file ATI2DVAG, this is compatible driver for Radeon HD series. this also stopped the ATI Catalyst from starting. Plus a crash when using windows search companion.
    I had to disable the driver, install the original driver from CD, then re-install the Catalyst control centre.
    Seems to work fine now.

    I did some cleaning in the Registry using Advanced System Cleaner and RegistryBooster 2, I think this is where my current problem comes from, I think the programs deleted some important files from my PC.

    Is CCleaner better than the ones I have used?

    Cheers.

    Ccleaner is the only reg cleaner I use and it has not given me a problem on literally hundreds of computers. Clean all temp files, reg settings, faster add/remove programs loading. All profit.

    For your future info, I'd always go straight to the source for driver installs if possible. Windows updates has a tendency to release old drivers and muck up installs.
