Dell Reinstallation Disk Is.............

Simple question I think.......a dell reinstallation CD (XP Pro) will only work on a dell system, correct? :confused:

    A bud's dell went pop and I'm throwing some spare stuff together and was wondering if to try and reuse the dell software. However I do have a pre SP1 XP disc I can also use and from what I'm hearing that may be the easiest solution.

    In the shop here I use the Dell reinstallation disks on everyone's PCs, just because it is all I have to use
