fastest team (probably Ryder's) will tee off first
I play golf once a year nowadays, and just because I "know" golf, I don't consider myself decent like I did 3-4 years ago.
I think Gravite said he has never played before, so we can move him to Ryder's team, since we all consider Ryder the best player, and move Magic or Xero to QCH's team.
I'm fine with moving around... I only golf about once a year and have only been to the range once so far... so whichever team gets me, I whole-heartedly apologize up-front. This just in though... I don't have to go back home on Thursday evening, so all is well...
I'm a decent golfer, no idea what my handicap is since I've never tried to determine it. Usually bogey to double bogey each hole, a few pars here and there on the threes. Life has prevented me from continuing to play more seriously, but I'm pretty confident I won't hold up the pace if that's what we're worried about. We'll see how I do on borrowed clubs, particularly the woods (see? I know how to find excuses already!)
I "know" golf and can help keep pace of play, so if you need me to move teams that's fine.
I know it's a random thing.... but can I be on Grav's team? It will be so much easier to get him drunk if he is on my team.

A solution to avoid the rented 1930s crap would be fantastic. I can't get my KY clubs to Detroit in time, and it would cost $80 and risk damage to bring my CA clubs on the plane.
Anyone else have any loaner clubs? I certainly don't need pro clubs, I suck at golf.
