Again eBay and a desire for “bling†has added a set of Corsair CMD8GX3M4A1333C7 DOMINATOR 8 GB (1333Mhz) memory into my world. While these were supposedly created for AMD processor have a question about “what will I lose†if I pair these with a 1090T in a MSI NF980-G65 as compared to using a set of G. Skill F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD Tridents (2000MHz)?? The Tridents have worked well with my 1055T in the same mobo.
You can throw out the mem cooler on the Corsair has I already have an after market Zalman I will be using. I also realize we’re talking 8GB but as 4 x 1 sticks a 4GB setup is not out of the question. SO that leaves 1333GHz vs 2000GHz, to me right off the bat my overclocking room on the 2000s would be larger?

Not mixing it is a "which one" situation. Just wondering how much of an impact replacing the 2000s with the 1333s would have on performance.
Nope, low 1500s with a MSI NF980 and a 1055T as I had to use FSB to overclock which pushed the memory.
Didn't really have the time to do a whole lot of testing and currently have dropped the over clock for every day, but did manage a S & Gs 4M rum of HyperPi for 4GHz. Just haven't had the time to refine any settings.

The 1333 is CL7-7-7 so that should equal things out. Maybe even overclock the 1333's to ~1500 at 8-8-8?
I think 1600 can be a given if one can tinker a bit more and is using something other than a nvidia chipset to overclock!
