Ok, Gang, I need some one to walk me through settings in Advanced Chipset features in BIOS to get my pc running up to speed. What program do you all recommend I use to find out what everythings running at now? I know it's running slower than it should.
Asus A7N8X Deluxe nforce 2, 333 FSB, Dual Channel DDR 400
CPU- AMD XP2800+
1G-OCZ PC3200 Ultra High Performance
HD-1 WD Raptor 36G 10.000rpm
HD-2 WD Raptor 36G 10.000rpm
HD-3 IBM Deskstar 40G 7000 rpm backup drive
Tyan Tachyon G9700 Pro = Radeon 9700 pro
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Need to get this baby up to speed--my folding is taking a hit.

CPU-Z is good as well as Central Brain Identifier.

    Post some pics of these.

    OverClocking 101:

Never let temps get above 55dC
    *Set CPU Interface to "Disabled".

    Highest CPU Speed Mhz
    1. Bios ...Softmenu III Setup ...
    2. Change multiplier from auto to 10.5 (10.5x133=1400).
    3. Reboot ...SoftMenu III Setup ...
    4. Increase multiplier one notch.
    5. Reboot into WindowsXP ...test/benchmark.
    6. If BSOD or crash increase vcore voltage one notch and try again.
    7. If no BSOD or crash increase multiplier one notch.
    8. Repeat #4 until highest cpu speed is achieved.

    Highest FSB Speed
    1. Bios ...divide top speed by 166 and set your multiplier to that then set FSB to 166.
    2. Reboot into WindowsXP ...test/benchmark.
    3. If BSOD or crash increase vmem voltage one notch and try again.
    4. If no BSOD or crash ...divide top speed by 176 and set your multiplier to that then set FSB to 176. Repeat #2.
    5. ...divide by 180.
    6. ...divide by 196.
    5. ...divide by 200.

    Lowest Memory Settings
    1. Set FSB back to 133 and multiplier back to auto.
    2. Set vmem as high as possible.
    3. Bios ...Advanced Chipset Features>DRAM Settings.
    4. Set 6-3-3-2 ...reboot ...bench/test.
    5. Set 6-3-2-2 ...reboot ...bench/test.
    6. Set 6-2-2-2 ...reboot ...bench/test.
    7. Set 5-3-2-2 ...reboot ...bench/test.
    8. Set 5-2-2-2 ...reboot ...bench/test.

    Merge Everything
    *Set CPU Interface to "Enabled".

This works pretty well with the NF7-s ...you can try it if you like on your board.

I put the SLK 900/AS5 on with an 80mm fan and my temps run 44-45C average load and 48-52C under load folding and running a bunch of programs. That should be solid for temps. What is this Softmenu III your talking about?

Softmenu III is a feature in the bios on Abit boards ...your's will be different but you should be able to get the basic idea.
52C under load is cutting it close in temps if you fold using SSE ...you will probably start overheating if you mess with the voltages. You may only want to make adjustments to the mem timings and FSB ...I wish I were more familiar with that board. Maybe someone with Asus experience can take over from here?

Hehehe, I googled it to find out what it was. Abit boards. OK, Highest I hit was 52 under load and it's running now at 49-50 with folding running 100%, and a few monitoring programs on. Thnx for the OC 101 csimon. I'll let you know how it turns out. Printed it out so I can try the settings.

Good luck and don't fry anything!
At those temps I think your processor is very safe but I'm mostly worried about the stability of F@H ...it seems to get unstable near those temps when using SSE ...just keep that in mind. Make sure to disable the client until you get your overclock stable.
