a: if valve makes the game and sells it on steam, why does the EA logo come up on the trailer?

b: is it good? does it run on the source engine?

EA was a distribution partner for the game. It uses the Source engine, and it is very good, but playing with other people in co-op is the way to get the most out of the game--make sure you have that.

Yeah, Left 4 Dead is pretty much boring as a single-player experience.

To be fair though: every game ever is 20x interesting when played co-op.

Particularly if that game was intended to be played as co-op to begin with.

I would have to disagree in respect to the Paradox Strategy games (Hearts of Iron/Victoria/Europa Universalis series.) I think hard-core strategy games like that are much harder to play co-op (and multiplayer) I don't know how many times I pause the game to adjust settings and such. If you do that alot in multiplayer people would get seriously angry.
