problems with high CPU usage even w/ computer idle...svchost exe malware?

hi hoping someone can help.

Windows xp user and my cpu usage is between 50-70% even when pc is idle...something's wrong. Looking around online it seems that it might be svchost as trojan virus or malware...system is also been slow.

Downloaded HiJackThis and ran an analysis but don't know where to go from here. Any help?

    Download and run combofix, then full malwarebytes, post logs as attachments.

    Most of the time whenever I've seen this kind of a slowdown because svchost is hogging a pile of resources it's because there is a problem with windows update. Generally reboot, look at the task manager for the program that's hogging all the resources then run windows updates again.
