Preferred method of video driver cleaning?

I admit to getting lazy as AMD's drivers got better over the years, and never doing a clean install of Catalyst drivers.

However, seeing Cliff's recent thread about driver issues made me conscientious of doing it correctly.

That said, the old way of doing it (DriverCleaner) seems to not be around any more, at least in the sense of not being free.

What's the current best method for doing a cleaning and reinstall of video drivers?

I still use Driver Cleaner Pro on this old hardware but I'll be using DriverSweeper soon enough.

Anyone tried letting Steam handle the driver updates? I haven't heard anything either way on it.

It just downloads the EXE to a temp directory and runs it. It does a little behind-the-scenes version checking.
