Sold laptop, need to re-factory

I sold my Acer Aspire One, and the person who bought it from me wants it set back to factory software.

When I bought it, I wiped it, and put my own OS and software on it, which I need to remove, of course. My issue is that I'm not sure how to go about this.

In the past, laptops came with these disk that would just do all the work. This system didn't come with any disks, it doesn't even have a disk drive.

I suppose I need to install some stuff via USB drive, right, but where do I get the software? I figured I'd be able to find it on the Acer website, but it's not to be found.

Do I need to tell this guy that the software simply can't be re-installed?

It can't be reinstalled without original media. Most Acers make you generate the discs manually from an application in the start menu; in this case you would have needed an external CD/DVD-ROM.

With the original installation wiped (I never thought I'd need it again, it was Win7 Starter edition after all), is there anyway to get this thing back to factory software?

Not without doing illegal things. ;)

Well, the guy says he already has a couple systems just like this one, so maybe I'll see if he's willing to do the restore himself from his existing systems. Otherwise, I guess I'll sell it to someone else. :/

    Thanks for the info.
