V6GT Shorting P8P67 Pro?

edited July 2011 in Hardware
I seem to have read this on a couple sites. Basically the issue seems to be that the Coolermaster V6GT backplate is so big that it can't be mounted without contacting some solder points on the motherboard. I don't really mind this but would like to know if duct tape or thick double sided tape would melt if I lined the solder points with it?

I would not recommend at all using either of those materials. Something like thermal tape/pads would work, but someone else may chime in with a better solution.
