Lag/fps?

Ever since the "Hatless Update" I have been experiencing a drop in performance. The update was supposed to increase performance by reducing the memory required. Unfortunately ever since, I have had a less stable and generally lower fps.

I was just wondering if anyone else was experiencing problems or had any suggestions.
