how can I format dell d420 using usb?
i tried using usb fomating my desktop but wont work in dell d420.
just a - that blinks! thanks

    Do you want to format a USB drive or use a USB drive loaded with some boot disc to wipe the internal HDD in your computer?

    First off... you have the latest BIOS. You should be able to boot from a correctly formatted USB. BIOS settings... make sure it is set to allow booting from USB and that it is the first in boot order.

    The question is... what Operating System are you trying to re-install?
