So Gencon was awesome. 30,000 gamers descending upon Indianapolis. Every where you went there were people playing games - litterly everywhere. In the hotel lobbies, any local restaurants, park benches - whatever. The norms were scared and speaking in huddled tones.
It was interesting and admittedly surprising to see that both Paizo and FFG had much bigger booths then Wizards of the Cost. Pathfinder was everywhere. Which isn't to say that 4e didn't have a presence. But I saw far more people playing Pathfinder then I did 4e outside of the primary 4e gaming area.
Lots to see, lots to do we had something going on from about 7:30am every day until 2:30am. If you are a gamer, it's definitely worth the trip. Bring cash you'll spend it.
