I'd suggest just keepking McAfee only, or removing all of them and installing Avast free edition. You can get the Symantec removal tool to clear out that symlcsvc.exe if you can't figure out another way.
Other than that, I'd uninstall the Yahoo and µTorrent toolbars. I'd also uninstall the Conduit Engine app manager unless you are using it for something specific.
I'd then hit up the Nero software suite configuration and disable any indexing services which are a drag on system resources.
You have a lot of other things in there that you probably don't use or need, but it won't make a huge difference by removing them other than perhaps a couple seconds of boot time. In that case you may as well leave them there.
Cheers, good luck. Google is your friend if you run across a process you don't know what is.
Any idea why HijackThis wouldnt remove that stuff?
My understanding of HijackThis is that it simply reports what is running, it doesn't actually remove anything. It is like an unbiased observer. I haven't used it in years though, so maybe I'm wrong about that.
Also the toolbars and such aren't necessarily bad, it's just that in my experience who have them installed don't actually use them. They just weren't paying attention to the prompts given while installing other software. This in turns slightly slows down browser load times and browsing.
I have heard that malware can "disguise" itself as system or common processes though, so just because I don't see anything bad here doesn't mean there isn't.
If you have any reason to feel you have malware it may be time to update the security software and scan with it.
Refer to my blog on viruses here, post the logs as attachments.
That is sort of the authoritative third party source, with a reputation for good info on service configuration.
I used to use it all the time back in the day when I had 256MB of system memory and getting rid of 12MB of memory on startup by disabling services felt glorious. Now there is no point, but maybe it is still useful if unnecessary processes really bug you.
start->run->services.msc
OR
if possible eliminate the process through it's own UI/config program if it exists
