re-load os without disk?

edited August 2011 in Science & Tech
I have a missing or corrupt system 32 file and I need to reload the os but I don't have the disk. Where can I get one?
Do I have to buy it?

If your computer is pre-built, you can get a copy from your manufacturer for a good discount. Alternatively, you can buy a copy of the OS itself or use this as an upgrade time to windows 7 if your computer is capable of running it.

Windows varies from version to version as to what you can do. SHOULD you buy a disk? MAYBE. Check for viruses, rootkits, etc. please (this stuff as grouped is called malware), BEFORE you reload the os.

Indeed, you could post what issue you are having and see if we can help you resolve that.
