Linux news synopsis:
Kernel 2.6 is being integrated into distros as I type-- final is out.
Lindows in the LindowsLive version WILL be on P2P nets, per Michael Robertson, for those of you that want to try it, and the LindowsLive will be offered free on those venues. LindowsLive is a Live CD version, a CD-boot try before you by with nothing written to HD.
IBM is working on a Linux desktop of its own, is using it internally and current estimates are eta to open market in 2 years-- Per John Dvorak (of the Dvorak keyboard layout, among many other things). Dvorak is calling it "Blue Linux." We will see what IBM releases it as.
Sun Java Desktop, Linux+Sun Java 2, is being accepted in China and othr parts of the Far East, and some folks in India are using it.
