Bulldozer vs i7

edited August 2011 in Hardware
I have been reading the leaked specs on the top of the line AMD bulldozer cpu 16 cores at 3.9 to 4.5ghz on a AM3 board and it seems everyone thinks it is going to put AMD on top again.

What do you think?

AMD won't be on top until the 32 core Loveplow cpu hits in Q5 2012. It'll be clocked starting at 4.6Ghz but the Vtec will kick in and push it to almost 6Ghz.

I'm pretty sure VIA will be on top Q5 2012 with their new hybrid CPU/GPU/MEM/PCIE chip that eliminates all bridges clocked at 6.66ghz

    Qualcomm's 28nm octocore S4 chip will win in 2014.

Remember those old Via C3 CPUs? Supposedly they overclocked to ridicufast speeds in lab tests with LN2. Unfortunately, they were still crap even with extra speed. LOL. I love me some VIA.

Everyone knows that Motorola is going to become the performance king with their 19-core ponyplow processor.
