Bandwidth Woes

So I'm back at school in the dorms and we have a 10 GB/wk bandwidth limit. With Netflix and Hulu, this limit doesn't work for me at all. If I hop on the school's wireless, I get unlimited bandwidth but the signal in my dorm is pretty weak, Is there a way I can either A) strengthen the signal with my wireless router (Cisco/Linksys E1000) by using it as a repeater or something or B) get a USB adapter or something of that sort that can pick up fainter signals?

Thanks guys!

How about a cantenna? Point it at the wireless AP and you should be good to go.

    High-gain antennas.

What if I'm not really sure where the AP is? I'm sort of in the center of my dorm complex so it could be coming from any direction. Would it be difficult to pinpoint what direction to point it?

Spin it in a 360 degree circle. When the signal strength suddenly jumps dramatically, you've found it.

Would this or something of similar size work? The Cantenna looks a little big to be sitting in my minuscule two-person dorm room. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002WBX9C6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A2EUTVCJXLAJ4K

    It won't, really.
