Ok,It works
Now the But
When I log off and shut down and come back to it it don't want
to boot. I have to put the window disc back in to repair it.
That only takes a couple seconds and than it boots right up.
Than it loses it again so something not staying. So is there a program
that will tell me whats' missing or not staying. This is windows 7
I think is something simple. This is another HD which was working on xp
before I formatted it and put 7 on it.
What I have found trying to work it on sata it don't see the HD but working
it on IDE it works, but I have the problem I'm telling you about.
I would have said something earlier, But 7 went on in a snap and
it rebooted a couple times during installing which is normal.
I updated it and updated flash and surf and played a couple game
and thought all good shut down and went out.
Came home and found this problem so any Ideas?

How are you connecting the drive SATA vs. IDE? Do you mean the OS disk or the DVD-ROM?

Is your hard drive plugged in to the primary or secondary IDE connector on the motherboard?
What jumper setting do you have on the hard drive? (master/slave/cable select)

Perhaps try booting with the DVD drive removed just to see if that has something to do with it.

Also, you ought to update your BIOS. That could really help in this situation.
