Rooting HTC Inspire 4G Issue

I followed the effen manual using the hack ace kit 12.3. the issue that I am having after rooting et al is an apparently lack of data connectivity. It worked prior to rooting, and I can currently make calls on the rooted phone, but I have no internet access (which prevents me from doing fun things).

I've looked through several threads and all they usually offer is "try new ROM or go back to old one" when this is concerning the default rooted ROM and the inability to install ClockworkMod Recovery at all.

Any help is much appreciated and I'd be happy to provide more details

    Make sure data is enabled, etc. If that fails...

    Sideload titanium backup APK, backup your apps and perform a factory reset.

    //edit: Try this

    1) *#*#4636#*#*
    2) options (2nd button from left - List symbol)
    3) Plus
    4) Check that the 2 additional options are actives
    4.1) activate data connexion
    4,2) activate data connection at boot
    5) back several times until you are out of the special config menu

    Data was enabled, to my knowledge.

    Tried the options menu and was not able to find any options like what you specified.

    I did manage to get CM7 on there, but then tried to install the "new" radio, and it is stuck on htc boot screen now. At least I know how to recover from this without a big deal.

    You may have a radio that is mismatched to the bootloader. If you cannot access recovery, your phone is permanently bricked.

    Too late into the night for an update, I was able to get everything working. I think this is the order I used: I got back into bootloader, wiped data, installed CM7, flashed the radio, (this is where I encountered the htc bootscreen stall), went back into recovery, flashed RIL, booted up phone normally and had data access. Thanks for looking and finding that testing/whatever menu.
