My one son is running the aging pc with these specs: amd x2 64 3800, 2 gigs or ram, ansd an ati 3850. He mostly plays Starcraft 2 and the odd FPS. Would any of these make a core of a good replacement pc?
One of the quad core AMD A8 and a Radeon HD 6670 can combine their graphics cores for very good performance in games like SC2. It's a quite inexpensive solution, too.

It'll blow that 3800 Series card away, too.
