Toshiba sattleight laptop, Keys do not work? and OS system will not boot up.

My toshiba laptop keys do not work. originally i would restart my CPU and they would work fine. However, now my Windows XP Operating System wil not boot, so when I hit F8 or F12 my keys do not work, so I can't do system restore. Please help.

    This is a hard one... try plugging in a USB keyboard.

    You are also looking at other H/W issues, of which the keyboard not working is only a symptom, I imagine.

    you have some serious issues then... Could be the main board (motherboard). Any beeps? What exactly does the screen display when you boot?
