    This trend makes perfect sense. It amounts to a free demo, something that works well for other addictive games.

    Speaking as someone who played it all through beta and ended up not buying it..
    Unless you really really like consoles, don't bother with the PC version. You will be endlessly frustrated. If you like the social aspects of MMOs, like talking with others, don't bother. The primary reason it's going F2P, whether or not Sony will admit it, is that it never achieved any of the sales or sub goals. Not once.

    Up next on the F2P docket, City of Heroes/City of Villains. Who are getting it totally wrong.
