If this is half as good as the NBA Jam reboot, I'll crap a brick. I loved Daytona USA so much in the arcade. I'll never forget the first time I went to an arcade and played Daytona linked up with 15 other drivers. I had never experienced any massively multiplayer games at that point. It was a revolutionary concept. All of those cars on my screen were being driven by REAL PEOPLE sitting all around me?

I remember intentionally wrecking another driver and hearing them react a few cabinets down. I couldn't believe it. Real work reaction and consequence. It was unbelievable. I spent a fortune playing that game.

They still have Daytona USA at my local arcade. My kids played it the other day :D

At ICOK, I'm taking a bunch of you jerks to the arcade. It's super close to my house (only 1 mile away from La Quinta!) and. Yeah, we'll have a blast. It's like walking through a time warp into 1990.

Please do! That would be fantastic. Despite that arcade culture has died, I love that existing arcades have become retro havens. I gotta play some Daytona USA when we get there.

Dangit, I keep thinking about Daytona USA in the arcade and listening to the music. I'm having a massive nostalgia bomb. I had just discovered auto racing at the time, I loved the sculpture of Sonic in the mountain, and that big spinny sign thing, the VR BUTTONS TO CHANGE VIEWS, the Gallup sponsor on the beginner car... .I can't take this. So many good memories.
