Well, I don't know about y'all, but I'm boycotting Valve until HL2:EP3 which I hear is never so...
and besides, SWTOR, ME3 and BF3 are all Origin. Are you just not going to play possibly the best games coming out in the next 6 months?
None of those require Origin to my knowledge (I was wrong on BF3, which I had almost no intention of playing anyway), especially SWTOR. And if they do require it for PC...well I'll just by it on a console.
I enjoy Valve because they don't promise things they can't deliver. They update their games and they (almost always) treat their users and fans with respect.
Edit: According to the EULA on Amazon ME3 requires Origin. Looks like I'll just buy it on a console.
Yeah man, it's an internet boycott though.
You just say you're never buying anything from EA, sign a few half-assed petitions, whine on forums and then buy the games at launch anyway.

Yes, as disappointing as it is to miss those games. Until they change their minds about allowing them also on steam or vastly improve Origin, EA gets no more of my dollars.

SW:TOR was never going to be an Origin title to my knowledge. There are issues with Origin and the core architecture of SW:TOR. Here's a ProTip: if your monthly usage is capped by your ISP? Don't go within 5 miles of TOR.

I'm just going to bite the bullet, most likely, if I do get it. The whole Origin thing stems from a dispute between EA and Valve, and claiming that Valve is totally not at fault is honestly, blind fanboi-ism. Do you really think that Valve just gives away millions of dollars a month in storage and bandwidth? Oh hell no. Valve gets a cut of every penny every game on Steam makes; which extends to a cut of retail revenue for some titles.
Of course, nobody knows this because as the Steamworks FAQ says, Valve does not discuss their revenue split publicly. What I can tell you from having talked to someone with familiarity, is that it is strictly on a per-game basis, and the bigger the game? The bigger the cut Valve wants, justifying it with the increased costs of delivering a download to hundreds of thousands of people. On the flip side, several publishers are more than a little pissed off with Valve's constant mishandling of time-sensitive releases; hours late, decryption errors, delays in approving last minute builds and such.
That isn't to say Origin isn't a huge pile of crap itself. But Steam is anything but blameless. Just look at the Test Drive Unlimited 2 forums. People claim it's the developer's fault, but it's not. It's Steam's, because of the way it works. There's a serious case of fanboi-ism going on with Steam. Frankly, it's a load of crap, and doesn't matter. If EA Origin delivers the game to me on time, with a minimum of hassle, I could care less. Steam doesn't actually have any compelling argument other than convenience.
I really hope it does get a proper ending. I was worried when I heard that it wasn't going to be a trilogy. But I wouldn't mind if ME4 and later told a different story within the same universe.

ME3 is going to be badass from what I have seen
I forgot EA and Valve weren't playing nice.
Or Liara pissed I humped Garrus...
Or if Kelly is still feeding my fish...
A.K.A. Who cares what happened in ME1 and 2
Nothing can describe my face right now.
