How to play DnD with a PC on Skype?

One of the players in my current game is moving away today, and we are planning on getting him to play with us over Skype. Most of the tutorials I found for using Skype for DnD, however, were for all players playing on Skype. How would I go about playing a game with 5 players and the DM around a table and one joining us though the Internet?

Among the players, theres 4 laptops we can use, but one is reserved for the DM and one is reserved for the players to look things up.

Find a laptop with a front-facing camera, set it down on a chair facing the group, turn on skype and enable the camera. It's just like video conferencing.

We've done exactly that. We had a webcam at our table and the player had one at there's. Then we just used skype to do it. It worked pretty good. It's not going to be as good as actually being there. But it's about the best alternative you can get.

We did actually step it up by having two skype accounts at the table one showing the group and the other focused on the table. To show maps or whatever on are end to the person on the other.

We tried something similar for Battletech but the map camera wasn't good enough to resolve individual hexes. It's a problem.
