Linkury - go AWAY.

Allllrighty!
So I have noticed that when I'm using chrome, it's working through something called linkury which apparently was installed as part of a software pack with live messenger. I HATE it.
I uninstalled the toolbar, but now when I search using my address bar instead of using google, it uses Linkury (says powered by google). It also was my homepage, a 'google' aka linkury page. I have searched around to no avail, and malawarebytes didn't pick it up as malware.
There is nothing listed under add/remove programs, either.
Anyone have any tips to get rid of the most annoying thing ever?
cheers

The Linkury Smartbar is often distributed along with other installations, there is no need to completely uninstall messenger plus.
To make things clear:
In order to remove the Linkury Smartbar installation go to control panel -> Add/Remove Programs (xp) or Programs and Features (vista and above) -> Linkury Smartbar.
In addition, you can change your browser settings such as your homepage and default search provider by seeing your browser's options menu where you can restore everything to its default state.
