SSD drive for HP Pavillion tx2000

edited November 2011 in Hardware
To all Techie People out there,

I have a HP pavillion TX 2000 touchscreen laptop that gets very noisy when its overheated and gets overheated a lot. I want to switch to SSD drive but dont know which one to choose. My laptop has a SATA drive 2.5 inch but I am not sure if getting any SATA SSD drive will work, if it will fit etc. Would a SATA II or SATA III work on my laptop. If anyone is willing to post a direct link to a product that would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for 128GB size.
Thank

Any 2.5" SSD will work. What's your budget?

Well, I was hoping under 250$ if there is anything, if not 350$ is the max I can afford if the product is good enough

It should match even though it says SATA III and mine is SATA right?

All SATA versions are mutually compatible. However you will lose some of the performance the Vertex 3 has to offer, because your SATA system cannot utilize all of the bandwidth that a SATA III drive can push. This is no big deal, but don't be surprised if your benchmarks don't match what's on the box. :)
