After making me think they knew what the series was about with Red Alert 3, they went and bastardized the series with C&C 4... Please stop touching my favorite series in the no-no spot EA ;_;
geeze they going to butcher another C&C, like what they did to C&C4, it survived for 12 min = 3 min installation, 2 min intro, 5 min game play, 2 min uninstall
Bought every C&C game thusfar (some of them twice thanks to the Decade box set). After the fiasco that was 4, however, I might have to pass on this one
ugh... this is the last straw. I'm giving up on the C&C series until such a time that EA either sells it to a competent game company or they prove they can go back to C&C's roots.
IIRC, it was their first step away from the 'traditional' Westwood-styled C&C that had everyone so pissed off.
Personally, I wasn't a huge fan of it, I had both Generals and the Zero Hour expansion and I can't honestly say I remember damn thing about either outside of general dislike for both.

This is the real issue. It wasn't a terrible RTS game, but it wasn't a Command & Conquer game. It's the same problem they had with C&C4, they took a game that has a ravenous fanbase (myself included) and gave them a game that wasn't what they wanted.

Man, I miss Westwood.
Seriously this 'run franchises into the ground' business policy Ea, and ActivisionBlizzard have got going is ridiculous.
Yes. It was crap. Didn't even have the same game mechanics of any other C&C game. No base building, no resource collecting, no tech tree.
I've bought every iteration so far, might as well go for broke!
But why? Really. Serious? Come on man, you know it's going to be pants. BIG granny pants. Why do this to yourself?
3? No, sir they need to return to the mechanics of Tiberium Sun and Red Alert 2. From the WestWood days.
How can the even make another game from the Tiberium franchise anyway? They killed off Kane.
Generals was a competent RTS and if a sequel keeps EA from their pathetic attempts to milk the franchise proper so much the better

A free-to-play, browser/mobile based, MMO in the Command & Conquer Tiberium Wars universe.
Presumably that's the only genre left for a half assed spinoff since Renegade went down like a fart in a lift.
Of course, that game was actually made by Westwood which helped, even if they were owned by EA at the time.
